The SAPS have released their annual crime stats for the year 2007-2008. Below are the stats in our precinct for 2007 compared to 2006. You can download the PDF file with the stats from our area as well as the other countrywide data online.

We have created 2 graphs below where we compare the 2006 with the 2007 stats. As you can see, except for murder, attempted murder and business burglary, ALL the crime categories have increased. The largest occurrences of crime are the thefts, robberies and burglaries. Just be careful and make sure you remain alert and that your security systems are working and used.
